The meeting of art, design and industry connects Krefeld and Dunkerque on the French North Sea coast, which will celebrate 50 years of twinning in 2024. They are also the focus of the Krefeld art museums and the FRAC Grand Large – Hauts-de-France, which, as one of the Fonds régional d'art contemporain, has been collecting contemporary art since 1982 and transporting it to various locations in the region. In a collection exchange, a selection of key works of international, contemporary art and design from the FRAC collection will “move in” to the former Haus Lange Haus Esters residential buildings. Offsite projects in Krefeld's urban space and in schools complement the exhibition and create surprising scenographies and participatory situations. The international dialogue brings the former homes created by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe to life and illuminates the importance of the dialogue between the disciplines of art and design in and outside the museum.

Participating artists: Stéphane Calais, Latifa Echakch, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Philippe Parreno, Hella Jongerius, Studio Formafantasma, Rirkrit Tiravanija and many more.
