On the occasion of the 100th birthday of Eduardo Paolozzi (1924-2005), the Waldfrieden Sculpture Park, with the support of the Paolozzi Foundation, is presenting an extensive exhibition of works that includes sculptures from various creative periods as well as a cross-section of his graphic oeuvre. Eduardo Paolozzi was one of the most idiosyncratic and versatile British artists of the post-war period. In the 1940s, he appeared with a series of collages in which he combined images from popular culture and advertising. Under the influence of surrealism and Dadaism, he developed a visual language with which he anticipated the development of British pop art.
A catalogue will be published for the exhibition.
