      The Ludwig Museum is housed in the historic Deutschherrenhaus at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle (Deutsches Eck).

      All public areas of the museum are barrier-free. Next to the entrance stairs there is a wheelchair-accessible elevator that can be used to reach all exhibition levels. The cash desk staff will be happy to pick you up - call the museum cash desk on 0261-304040.

      A disabled toilet is located in the entrance area of ​​the museum.

      Visits with trained guide and therapy dogs are allowed by prior arrangement.

      For the permanent collection as well as for special exhibitions, the KunstKontakt team at the Ludwig Museum offers guided tours for people with restricted mobility or people with dementia after prior registration. Guided tours in simple language for special groups can also be booked for selected events.

      The audio guide for children and adults is available free of charge – also as an app for your smartphone – via museum.de. The audio guide is also available as a portable device at the ticket office for a rental fee of €1. The audio guides are also available in plain language.

      The exhibition rooms can be visited with the help of a wheelchair or with a stroller. Lightweight, portable folding stools are available to borrow from the ticket office upon request. Of course, the supervisor also advises in exceptional cases.

      The museum is located on the central square in the cultural building Forum Confluentes. The city library, the Romanticum and the tourist information center are also housed in the culture building. Designated disabled parking spaces can be found in the multi-storey car park of the neighboring Forum Mittelrhein, entrance via Luisenstraße and in the Schängelcenter in Clemensstraße, entrance via Gymnasialstrasse. You will find further designated disabled parking spaces on Schlossstraße, not far from the museum.

      The museum can be reached at ground level. Our entrance is stepless and wheelchair accessible.

      A designated wheelchair-accessible toilet is located in the exhibition on the first floor and also in the basement of the culture building in the central toilet facility. There are lockers in the foyer of the museum and in the basement of the culture building.
