In the exhibition Delirious Toys, the American artist Mark Dion presents several installations made from objects from the toy collection of the Berlin City Museum, which were initially on display in the Nikolaikirche Museum in Berlin. For the exhibition, the artist spent months researching the Berlin City Museum's collection of around 70,000 objects. This led to the creation of a kind of labyrinth made of board games, a pyramid of animals, a circuit with an imaginary race between vehicles of all kinds and other installations. A doll's cave, a war landscape and a "poison cabinet" with borderline and cross-border toys can also be seen in the exhibition.
The project is flanked by the newly developed ELLAH Lab, which aims to continuously integrate artistic activity and creative learning into visits to the Bundeskunsthalle for young and old.
