EXHIBITIONS in Brühl

In this year's members' exhibition of the Brühler Kunstverein, four artists are exhibiting under the joint title CHANGE. Tamara Baum celebrates the uniqueness of every woman in dazzling, colorful objects. In two additional paintings she ironically reflects human behavior. Shahram Gilak applies colors made from minerals in layers that transform in dialogue with each other. Line, shape and color form a visual unity; there are also figurative and expressive elements. Roswitha Mecke shows her 50-part portrait series “How Trees Grow” in which people try in their own way in front of the camera to transform themselves into a tree - or to assume the yoga position “The Tree”. Manfred Oswald works with the essential characteristics of nature, especially water. Traces of the interaction between humans and nature become visible in his drawings, paintings and photographic works of the flood disaster on the Ahr.
